8 Months Old (yesterday)

*Being 8 months old makes for a busy man. Here is what I am up to these days:
* I sleep throughout the night ALMOST every night from about 8:30-7am. I nap twice daily with my afternoon nap lasting 2-3 hours.
* I am beginning to show a little separation anxiety at times. I do not cry when strangers speak to me, I simply grin and turn my head into Mommy and/or Daddy's neck. (The books say this is healthy development).
* I react (meaning I recognize) certain words. Here are a few: night-night, Luey, KoKo, bottle, eat, outside, Elmo, Mommy and Daddy
* My 3rd and 4th teeth have cut the surface in the last 2 days (top teeth) and I am a pro at the "word" Da-Da.
* I have just recently become interested in eating. I now enjoy sweet potatoes, peas, bananas, applesauce and oatmeal. I also enjoy frozen apple slices and frozen bagel in a mesh feeder by Sassy.
* I push up on my hands and knees alot, just no movement yet. I can roll everywhere and I am very crafty at spinning around to get to something out of my reach.
* I hold things in each hand (at the same time) and I have no problem picking up several things and holding them between fingers.
* Mommy is very pleased with my first "learned trick". I will give kisses to people and toys(well, Elmo and people I know anyway.)
* I love my independence in my "car walker" by Combi I can navigate my way around a room and get into a lot of things Mommy would rather I not. :)
* I have just recently began to show interest in TV. Okay, so I am only interested in about 15 minutes of Sesame Street (when Elmo is on) but I now have my 1st show set to the DVR.
* Last but not least, Mommy wants me to work on my temper when someone takes something away from me. I am simply not a fan of my time being limited with certain toys or anything else I have taken an interest in.

That about wraps it up for now, who knows what the next month will bring. I have really enjoyed the past few days with GiGi and Poppy and look forward to seeing them again as soon as possible. We enjoyed celebrating both of their birthdays here in CT, what a treat. I am looking forward to Nana flying in tomorrow and spending the week with me. Oh, one last tidbit of info, I went to the doctor Friday and weighed in at 19lbs, 1oz.
