Christmas morning rocked!

where to begin...I got up and found a tree surrounded by so many awesome gifts...check out my electric scooter!!  I was amazed to find a letter from my elf...he wanted to play a game!  I was lead on a super fun scavenger hunt which lead me to my playroom...Santa had transformed my already fun playroom into a boys dream.  I opened the doors to find a new TV, XBox 1, a new couch and so much more.  I think I was at the top of the good list this year.  I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.  Safe travels and Happy new year.  I am excited to head to Tennessee tomorrow.....

Today has been a great day!  My Mom has finally had a better day after battling the flu, we made cookies, had a great meal, spread our reindeer food and my "Secret Santa Key" is hanging by the front door.  Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

I Believe.....

This past weekend was super fun!  We all went to Bryson City and rode the Polar Express.  I was surprised and did not even know what was happening until we all got on our matching jammies.  We headed out and an even bigger surprise was when my bestest buddies Gabriel, Avery and their parents showed up in the lobby of the hotel...we ALL had matching jammies!

tonight we met Daddy at the mall after work and had a fun dinner, visited Build-A-Bear, had a visit with Santa and mailed a very important letter!  I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!

We had an awesome Turkey Day and hope each and every one of you did as well.  Poppy and GiGi came in from Tennessee...we played & watched some football, ate a great meal and just had a great visit.  I am so very thankful for my family and the time we share together.

TRIATHLON COMPLETE!

So the day finally came and I rocked it!  I must admit staring down at the Olympic size pool was overwhelming but I was reassured I was ready!  I am proud to say I was able to raise $725.00 for Kids with Cancer and had a super fun time! I came in 10th out of 67 other kiddos in the 7-8 yr old age group!  Thank you to all who donated and sent encouraging emails and texts via Mom!

Fall is here!

This weekend was so much fun!  Nana was here for a visit and we all went to "AW SHUCKS FARM" for some fun Fall activities.  I was super excited to also be meeting my friend Gabriel and his little sister Avery there too!  There were so many fun things to do!

So alot goes into this triathlon stuff.  I am raising money for kids with cancer as well as training lots and lots!  I am super excited about my super cool running shoes, my "tri belt" and all that goes into this race/fundraiser.  My Mom made these cool posters and we have placed them around some of our most frequented places.  Today I was recognized in chapel at school "for doing something great".  I will keep you posted as the race is nearing...Sunday, October 13th!  

My triathlon is coming up...1st one ever so I am training hard!

I will be competing in my 1st ever triathlon on October 12th in Carey, NC.  I am super excited to be a part of this awesome fundraiser for kids with cancer.  I am training...LIKE A BOSS!

A little road trip to Columbia, SC...for a bit of college football LIVE!!

Saturday was super fun as I got to see the DAWGS live!!  It was a long day with rain delays, humidity at about 200% and rain the entire 2nd half...oh and a "L" recorded in the books for Georgia!!  Nonetheless, I was a super fan and cheered all the way!  We were lucky enough to be surrounded by some pretty great Georgia fans and high fives were all around when something good went down.  FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!!!

Our team improved in working together a bit this week and I was super excited because I got to play goal keeper the entire 1st half!

HAPPY GRANDPARENT'S DAY!

I am blessed with the best Grandparent's a boy could ever ask for!  Each and everyone of my Grandparent's love me unconditionally!

tonight I earned my RED BELT!!

I must say, this was a tough one to earn and an extremely tough belt ceremony.  I guess being this close to a BLACK BELT one would expect earning your next belt to be difficult.  I am so looking forward to starting my red belt classes with some new self-defense moves, board breaking techniques and of course a new form.  WOOHOO!  

YAY for Fall soccer starting back up!

I am super excited it's soccer time again but I am SUPER excited as my best buddy Gabriel is on my team.  I have a great coach and though I am sad Coach Andy has had to move on I think we will have a great season.  You will see lots of pics of Gabriel as me and Mommy are taking him to practices cause his parents can't get there early enough from work.  Our 1st game should be September 6th...I will keep you posted.

Summer Fun!

I am sad to see Summer coming to an end but i have no doubt had a blast!  I am so lucky to have so many great friends in my neighborhood...we all go to school together and then hang by the pool as often as we can!

Well, you just never know what may come your way...I had my 1st eye exam and the outcome was that I needed glasses.  Apparently I am "farsighted" and have a hard time focusing close up when reading & writing!  I am pretty proud of my new glasses and have received so many complements on my first full day of sporting my new glasses!

welcome August!

Not sure if you are all as busy as we are over here but we just go, go and go!  I thought I would update as I had some photos made at Mom's request:-) and had my 7 yr well visit.  I weighed in at 56 pounds(though lost 2 lbs a few days later as i have been sick), I am 49 1/2" tall and both of these stats put me in the 75% range!  I was told I am super healthy and that is always good news!  Looking forward to my last 2 weeks off as I will start 1st grade on August 18th!  Enjoy a few photos........

We had a great game...okay, maybe that is because I scored a TD!!!!!  Gigi & Poppy were here too, so that made it super cool!!

Sooooo...today I am 7!!!!

I have had a super great birthday!  I started the day with swim team practice but after that it was all about playing and BEARDED DRAGONS!!  Check out my new very own pets.  They stay in my room and are really super cool!  What do you think of their names??  Me and Mommy were trying to be crafty and I think we did a good job.  Mom first suggested "Jelly" and "Bean" but i had to veto that:-)  

flag football follow up

I am excited to report I made one of the teams and am loving every minute of practice!  This is a new sport for me but the coaches seem pleased and I am having a blast!  Our first game is Wednesday so check back for that.  The name of our team is Ohio State Buckeyes and we play the Cavaliers on the 9th!

So I know I do many activities but I have been waiting and waiting to be on a football team!!  Last night I showed up ready to roll and think i did a pretty good job.  The coaches had each kid do 3 drills...they wrote alot on their clip boards but who knows what that is all about:-)  Now we wait to find out what team we are on and when practice begins.

Practice swim meet...let the games begin

We had a practice meet to get everyone's seed times as well as work out the kinks in our events.  I was in 3 events...25M freestyle, 25M backstroke and 25M breaststroke.  I took 1st place in my heat for freestyle and backstroke and missed 1st place in breaststroke by less than a second!!  I was super excited to be invited to swim breaststroke as the 6 and under do not usually swim this event.  Our 1st meet is coming up on the 21st so for now we continue to practice.  I will keep you posted.

celebrating turning 7...A BIT EARLY!!

This past Saturday we I had an awesome birthday party at my favorite place...Sky High Sports!  I had 34 awesome friends celebrating with me, jumping, join in in a few dodge ball games and of course we had cake.  My party was none other than MINECRAFT theme...which was super awesome!!!!!!

I must say it has been a great ride with coach Beth and Andy and I will miss them dearly come Fall!!  I have had a super great time and learned so much from both of them.  We have had some great times and made so many awesome friends along the way!  

A pretty great Mother's day!

This year we had a low key Mother's day which was fun for all.  We had a great brunch at the Country Club and then went to the pool for the afternoon.

SOCCER, SOCCER AND MORE SOCCER!

This was a tough game as we lost 1 to nothing...and the only goal was scored on me as goalie.  Other than that, it really was a good game.  I was so excited to have Nana, Didi and Grandaddy on the sidelines cheering me on!

SUPER DUPER SPECIAL DAY!!!!

I think my school is awesome for so many reasons but wow does this make it over the top...Friday PES honored all "Grandperson's" with special presentations from each class as well as Mrs. Hughes our head of school.  The program and reception was held at the Palisades Country Club and then all "grand-people" got to come to their grandchild's classroom for a couple of hours to see how we learn, understand our curriculum and to play some games.  I was lucky enough to have Nana, Didi & Grandaddy and Gigi and Poppy here to share this awesome day with me at my school.  

Spring soccer back on...

after breaking for Spring break and the Easter Holiday we had our 1st game in 3 weeks yesterday.  Our team was pretty much asleep for the 1st half...lol but by about beginning of the 2nd half we were on fire!  We do struggle with the 8AM games...

Blue belt/red Stripe testing

March was my projected belt testing month and I qualified...YAY!  I am now a proud Blue belt/red stripe...half way to black belt!!  I am so excited to show off my trophy as these things are hard to come by.  There are usually about 20-40 people that qualify for testing and only 3-5 trophies are handed out at each ceremony...I won the one for "MOST ENTHUSIASTIC"!  This is a huge honor to be recognized for once you get to be a "high belt" as Tae Kwon Do is all about sharing your positive energy as the requirements and tasks become a lot more challenging when approaching your black belt.  WOOHOO!

Basketball has come to an end...

We played our last game last weekend and I was excited Nana was here to see it.  Basketball was Nana's sport so I really turned it on and had my best game of the season...2 3-pointers and at least 3 regular baskets!!  I have not decided if I will play BB again but it was fun to try something new.

I had my 1st Spring soccer game this morning bright & early at 8:30...it was pretty chilly too!!  We are going to have so much fun this Spring, I have lots of great friends on my team and we play well together as a team.  We did win today 2 to 1...woohoo!

It is finally time for Spring Soccer!!!  We had our 2nd practice today and I am super excited to be back with coach Beth and Andy as well as so many friends from Fall soccer!  It's getting warm outside and our first game is this Saturday at 8:30...YAY!!!!!

I am President Richard Nixon.....

I was proud to finally present my speech and diorama to my entire school and all the Grandparents and friends that visited this past Friday.  All the Kindergartners were assigned a president and had to learn facts and do a presentation about their president.  We have learned so much about all 44 Presidents Of the United States!  I was assigned Richard Nixon and there were many interesting facts to share about him.  So much fun!  Even more awesome was that Gigi and Poppy were here to visit my school and see me in action.

We ended my winter break with some fun in the mountains!  We went up to Wolf Ridge Lodge and began our day with a snowboarding lesson and rounded out the last few hours with some skiing.  GOOD TIMES!!!!

Every month students are recognized during chapel for some of their strengths.  This was my month and I was recognized for determination and enthusiasm.  My Kindergarten class also lead chapel on this day with the theme of "love".
