The last 2 weeks have been filled with a lot of new experiences. I now enjoy a daily meal (rice cereal) at the dining room table, Mommy or Daddy brush my 2 teeth 2 or 3 times a day and I sleep unswaddled. I must admit, the sleeping unswaddled is proving to be a challenge. About 10 days ago I simply refused to be all wrapped up and I have only slept through the entire night 3 or 4 times without waking up. I will continue to work at it and I appreciate Mommy being so patient. :) I continue to enjoy my music and gym class and look forward to starting sign language class in a couple of weeks. Below is a little summary of what is going on with regards to my physical/motor/sensory and cognitive markers:
* I sit unsupported.
* I occasionally roll from my back to my stomach.
* I bear almost all my weight when supported in a standing position.
* I reach and grasp any/every object, as well as transfer objects from one hand to the other.
* I attempt to hold my own bottle and am pretty good with a spoon.
* I look for toys when I drop them(realizing they are still near) and I can really show my frustration if I am not able to reach it.
* I love mirrors and will have a riveting conversation with myself.
* I imitate sounds, as well as laugh and squeal with delight.
* I always turn in the direction of Mommy and/or Daddy's voice, and if I hear my own name.
* I love to engage anyone in the game of "I throw a toy off the tray or table and you pick it up", but my favorite passtime is PEEK-A-BOO! (check it out)
