A very, very Merry Christmas!!

I hope each and every one of you have had a very blessed day with family, friends and made special memories.  I have been in Tennessee and will certainly backtrack with my posts because we had a blast celebrating with all my family.  For now I want to share my amazing Christmas day with lots of fun photos and a few videos to follow.  I have had so much fun visiting Santa, making my list as well as baking with both Mommy and Daddy and just the anticipation building up to today.  Check out all my awesome toys...my "green machine" big wheel spins out and goes super fast, me, Mommy and Daddy have had alot of fun playing jenga today and for downtime I have been learning my way around my new Nabi tablet.  I NOW HAVE MY VERY OWN ANDROID TABLET TO PLAY ANGRY BIRDS!!!

Tonight me, Mommy and Daddy spent the evening in uptown walking the streets, checking out the beautiful lights and even got to take a horse and carriage ride and learn a little history about Charlotte.  I love this time of year!!!

A really fun afternoon...and a visit with Santa

So me and Mommy had a super fun day today at Southpark Mall in Charlotte.  First I mailed my letter in a really big red mailbox and then I sat on Santa's lap and told him what I wanted for Christmas.  Me and Mommy got some shopping done and then relaxed at home and watched the Grinch!

So, I have been taking Tae Kwon Do for right at a year and completed the "Little Tigers" program about a month ago.  The next step is the true journey towards a coveted BLACK BELT!  I have worked hard and come a long way in regards to respect, following rules and becoming a stronger athlete in this awesome program.  Today I must admit I was a bit nervous as you have to "test" in front of everyone taking Tae Kwon Do as well as their parents.  You must perform with accuracy many kicks and punches using great technique, you are asked many words in English and must know them in Korean, must be able to break a board as well as the big "16 step Kibon Poomse" with blocks and punches.  I DID IT!!  I am now a Yellow Belt and will walk in the Christmas parade this Saturday as a YELLOW BELT!!! 

Disney Cruise continued...

On the 3rd day of our cruise we had a wonderful day at Disney's private island...Castaway Cay.  We got to snorkel with stingrays, play kickball on the beach and just had a blast on the waterslide. That night was "Pirate Night"...check out my Jack Sparrow costume.

Thanksgiving Day

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope each and everyone of you did as well.  We were blessed to have Gigi and Poppy here from Tennessee for a fun filled long weekend.  Gigi and Poppy arrived on Wednesday just in time to see me attend my Tae Kwon Do class where I received my last "tip" and now I am ready to test for my Yellow Best next week.  On Thanksgiving Day we played football, enjoyed the sunshine, cooked and ate.  Daddy was in charge of the turkey bird this year and fired it up on the Big Green Egg.  I do not eat turkey but did try one bite.  Later in the day we played and watched some football...a truly great day!

Atlantis...part 2

so, Monday morning we got off the ship for our day at Atlantis and as you know we had our experience with the dolphins but alot more went on that day.  We had a great breakfast and had many fun adventures throughout the day.  Mommy took some pics from our veranda as we approached Atlantis and many more while there!!  Most of these pics speak for themselves but check out Mommy in the shark tank!  They have a water slide that goes down inside this huge aquarium and even though I was not tall enough to ride(must be 48") I was super excited to see Mommy "under the sharks"!  Later that afternoon once we were back on the ship I had a visit with Pinocchio and Cinderella as well as a fun dinner at The Enchanted Garden! 

ATLANTIS!!

THIS WILL BE IN 2 SEPARATE POSTS AS THIS WAS A REALLY BUSY DAY!!  MONDAY, WE DISEMBARKED THE SHIP FOR OUR ATLANTIS EXCURSION AND HAD A SUPER GREAT TIME!  FIRST I WANT TO SHARE OUR AWESOME ADVENTURE OF SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS!!  WE GOT TO WEAR WET-SUITS AND GET IN THE WATER WITH THESE AMAZING MAMMALS.  OUR DOLPHINS NAME WAS TRACY AND SHE WAS SUPER SWEET AND WELL BEHAVED BUT HER 2 YR. OLD BABY WAS IN THE GROUP NEXT TO US AND SHE WAS NOT THE BEST LISTENER AS SHE WOULD COME OVER TO OUR GROUP TO SAY HI TO HER MOM.  WE GOT TO GIVE THE DOLPHINS MANY HUGS AND KISSES AS WELL AS FEED THEM AND EVEN GIVE A HIGH 5.  TRACY WAS EAGER TO SHOW US HER TRICKS TOO.  THIS WAS SO EXCITING!!

DISNEY CRUISE...

SO, MOST OF YOU KNOW WE ARE JUST RETURNING FROM THE MOST AMAZING VACATION EVER!!!  I will start with day 1 and work my way from there as Mommy took 631 pics, yes, you read that right...luckily she is going through and deleting duplicates, blurry ones etc...
Upon our arrival at Port Canaveral while standing in line with everyone else we were told we had been chosen as "Family of the Day"...this meant no lines for characters as well as we boarded the ship FIRST...VERY FIRST!  As we boarded the ship they made a big announcement that "The Neill Family from Tega Cay, South Carolina is Disney's Family of the Day please give a big round of applause"...it was super cool.  I was the first kid in both pools and we were the first ones on deck!  After playing for a while and letting the other thousands of people board the ship it was time to set sail.  There was a huge deck party with music, streamers, characters and SO MUCH FOOOOOOD!  P.S. ON THE DISNEY CRUISE YOU GET FREE ICECREAM 24 HOURS A DAY!

Fall baseball ended...

I had a great time playing "advanced T-ball" with lots of great friends, some new and some old...Mommy, Daddy and Tyler's Daddy Paul coached the Hot Rods this Fall.  It was exciting to learn new skills and begin to learn the true game of baseball.  I missed the end of the season party/trophy ceremony due to being sick but I still received an awesome trophy!!

Fall soccer season comes to an end!

The Tega Cay Tigers had a great time this season.  I made some new friends and learned some more soccer skills.  We had our last game and I scored a couple goals but most of all I had a great time.  Check out my trophy...I was so excited!!

A really big day!

So today I got my last "tip" on my black stripe belt and officially graduated from the "Little Tiger" program in Tae Kwon Do.  I will now attend a "white belt" class and test for my YELLOW BELT in about 4 weeks.  I have worked hard on Korean words, discipline and learning the fundamentals of Tae Kwon Do.  I am so very proud of this accomplishment as is Mommy and Daddy!!  I started this journey last November and am excited about the next chapter...stay tuned.

Fall festival at Charry Place Farms

So last night was a big night for my school as we had our first big family event.  Not only was it sooo much fun but Mommy has been in charge of the event as she is on the board at my school so it was exciting to finally see what has been occupying her time for the past few weeks.  We had tractor rides, pumpkin patches, marshmallow roasting and an awesome corn maze to play in.  I love getting together with my friends from school at such fun events!

bring a friend to Tae Kwon Do...

This week was super fun at Tae Kwon Do because everyone had a chance to bring a friend and introduce them to something new and fun.  Tucker was so excited to go with me and did a super great job.  A HUGE perk to bringing a friend...I GOT TO BREAK A BOARD!!!!  Check out my video, I broke it into 3 pieces on my first try!!

Georgia Aquarium

So, we made the most of being near Atlanta when we went to Athens to the Georgia/Tennessee game.  We stayed overnight and on Sunday we spent the better part of the day at the aquarium.  This was an awesome place...if you get the chance I recommend a visit.

So, this past weekend was super duper fun...me, Mommy, Daddy, Gigi and Poppy all met up in Athens and I got to see my DAWGS play some football.  It was so awesome to walk around UGA.edu attend the "Dawg Walk" and then take my seat inside www.georgiadogs.com/facilities/sanford-stadium.html!

Poppy and Gigi were dressed in their Orange and cheered on the "Big Orange" with all their heart but in the end, "them DAWGS" came out on top.  It was an awesome ballgame and truly a really fun day.  I was so excited to be there and a BIG thank you to Poppy for getting the tickets!

I know some of you are possibly bored with soccer, t-ball etc but it is simply that time of year and mommy LOVES the sports pics!!  I had another great game...scored 5 goals and mommy got one on video!!

More Saturday fun!!

So, many of you know I am also playing Fall T-ball...a little different than what I played in the Spring.  I moved up to "advanced t-ball" and this means the coach pitches 3 strikes to each batter and if you do not get a hit you can use the "T".  The kids are older and actually try to get the runners out too!!  I am loving this Hot Rods team.  We have had 3 games though I missed the second one...soccer and tball games overlapped and my choice was soccer.  Here are some pics from games 1 and 3...Mommy found out Baker's Dad would like to pitch so they swap out and Mommy cant take some pics.

I am going to include slideshows from the first 2 games as we are a bit behind over here.  The first game was against the Sharks and the second game was against the Alligators...I scored 4 goals in the 2nd game...woohoo!!

Grandparent's Day celebrations!!

So I know I am behind on this but we are busy around here...
the weekend of 9/8, I was lucky enough to have Didi and Grandaddy here to visit, watch my first soccer and T-ball games as well as play my 1st real round of golf with me!!  Even cooler, it was Grandparent's Day!! We had a busy few days but so much fun!!

LOVED my 1st golf lesson!!

So I am loving the game of golf!!  Daddy took me to the driving range 8 or 10 times and even bought me a set of super cool clubs.  I was showing a real interest and trying to wait patiently to play my first 9 holes (which we did last Sunday...pics to come)and lucky for me Mommy's friend knew about lessons starting up right here at our own Tega Cay Club.  I will have a lesson every Wednesday from 4:15-4:30.  My coach is so funny and makes learning so fun, his name is Champ.  I learned so much on Wednesday and can't wait until next week!

I got my black belt!!

So I am finally the highest belt in the "Little Tigers"!!  I have worked hard and am so excited to earn my tips and graduate from this level!!

Well, I guess Summer ended yesterday??

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend.  We had a low key weekend with spending time at the pool, playing golf, doing a little shopping and WATCHING THE GEORGIA DAWGS play football!! Luckily for us we still have 2 weeks to try and squeeze in time at the pool though with golf lessons, soccer and t-ball I am not sure we will make it.  Looking forward to Fall but certainly had a great Summer!

I can tie my shoes!!!

So I have been asking to learn how to tie my shoes...Mommy went to Learning Express and got these handy dandy cardboard things and check me out.  We worked on it for about 25 minutes and I CAN DO IT!!!!!

Advanced T-Ball practices have began!

So I have moved up in T-Ball to "advanced"...this means the kids are older and the coach pitches.  Actually each player gets 3 pitches and if he/she does not hit the ball you get a swing off the "T".  I am very proud to have Mommy and Daddy coaching this time!!  My Mommy is the pitcher so I only have one photo to share so far cause instead of working the camera on the sidelines she is working with the team.  Our team name will be the Tega Cay Hot Rods...pretty cool!!  We have an awesome team this Fall...some players will be familiar faces from the Spring and I am having fun getting to know new friends.

Fall soccer started Wednesday!!

I am so excited to get my new soccer season started!!  I practice on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:30.  Not sure what the name of my team is yet but our 1st game is Saturday, September 8th.

school is back in session!

I am excited to say I returned to school on Thursday and have had so much fun the first 2 days!!  I love my new classroom and have met many new friends.  The coolest thing is Mrs. Jessica was my teacher last year and moved up to teach the "transitional kindergarten" class this year so I have another year with her.  I really like the other teacher in my classroom too, her name is Mrs. Becky.  Gonna be a great year!

I love to try new things!

I have a new interest and man is it fun!  Daddy has taken me two times now to the driving range to see if I like golf...I love it!  We are fortunate enough to be surrounded by beautiful public country clubs that welcome us to the driving range, putting green and we can even play a round of 9 holes when i am ready.

Tennis Camp is fun!!

So, this week I am going to tennis camp at www.leroysprings.com.  I go from 9am-1pm and I am learning alot of great things about tennis!!  I am also very excited that my friend Pierson is there with me and we will both be in the same transitional kindergarten class next year.  

going back a bit...

...to the beginning of the Summer when I took 6 private swim lessons.  I am now a swimmer!  I have been eager to jump in, go down slides, go under etc for over a year but Mommy & Daddy felt I was ready to learn the true fundamentals and safety of swimming.  I was lucky to have an awesome instructor...Miss Ally is a lifeguard at our neighborhood pool where me and Mommy go almost everyday. Red Belt!!

So I am totally skipping aroud a bit but I wanted to share a great accomplishment with everyone...I received my red belt in Tae Kwon Do!!  I am considered a "high belt" in class now and must focus to set an example for new kids and those working towards their red and black stripe belts like me.  I must earn all 4 tips and then I get my black stripe belt!!!!

A fun day with Didi & Grandaddy!!

Friday I got to spend the day at the Tennessee aquarium with Didi and Grandaddy...we had a blast!  I love the touch tanks, stingrays and sharks were available to touch.  We also loved the bird show as well as the butterfly garden.  The jellyfish tanks are always one of my favorite things at an aquarium but the penguins really stole the show!!  

Birthday party #2...

...was in Tennessee and it was a pirate party!!  Unfortunately it was an outdoor pool party and it rained about 2 1/2 of the 3 hours but no worries cause the crowd I had were the best mateys ever.  There was no lightening or thunder so everyone was eager to swim as planned!!  I also had my first pinata, that was super fun but a bit more difficult to bust open than i anticipated.  Aaaaarrrgh, what an awesome time I have had turning 5!

More fun with Charlotte here for my bday weekend!!

and now I am 5!!!

So I cannot put into words how special this weekend has been as I celebrated turning 5!  Friday night me, Mommy and Daddy headed out and I had no idea where we were going...we ended up at the airport and I simply asked "did we forget our bags"??  A few minutes later Charlotte and her Mommy were riding down the escalator!!  I have missed them so very much and feel so blessed that they came all this way from Connecticut to celebrate my big day.  I am posting pics from today first and will recount this weekend a bit backwards.  WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!
Today we had a special brunch at the Ritz-Carlton in Charlotte, went for a quick swim and then headed to the airport for their return flight.  Such an amazing day!

celebrating turning 5...party #1!!

Yesterday was soooo much fun!!  I had a party at Ray's Splash Planet with my friends from school, Tae Kwon Do and the neighborhood.  I am super glad Mommy had an "inside" plan as it was 100 plus degrees yesterday...ugh!  Thanks to all my special friends for celebrating with me!!

4th of July celebrations!!

we started out the day at the Tega Cay parade around 9:30am...it was really alot of fun.  We found a great place to stand in the shade and I got lots of candy, a patriotic Popsicle and even a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie!!  It was also Tega Cay's 30th birthday so the crowd was very enthusiastic.  I continued with the red, white & blue theme as we went to the pool after a rain shower passed.  The pool was not crowded which is nice sometimes.  Anyway, check me out in the video throwing some fire crackers!!  Later, around 9:15 me and Daddy went to the fireworks show(Mommy was stuck with the dogs cause they are super scared)...Daddy said it was the best fireworks he has ever seen and I agree!!

where else ya gonna be...

...when it is between 102-107 degrees??  Whew has it certainly been hot here in SC but I am happy to cool off in the pool.  We cannot stay more than about an hour and 1/2 cause Mommy says there is not a sunscreen on the market powerful enough to fight the rays when it is this hot.  
I wanted to add for those paying attention and noticed my swim cap that this was my Dad's from highschool!!  I have really been wanting a swim cap since I watched the swim team practice and Mommy ran across these while gathering things for goodwill.  Daddy was sure they would fall apart but oh no, I have had them on for 3 days now....

backtracking a bit....

I have alot of catching up to do...let's start with a recent trip to the Great Smokey Mountains!!  Mommy is super excited to be close enough to TN to celebrate Father's Day with Poppy.  The weekend of June 9th we all "met in the middle" so to speak and had a fun time.  I walked around Gatlinburg, got to swim a bit, visited the coolest candy store ever and check out the awesome cars we got to see.  It was a short trip but so much fun to see Poppy and Gigi.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

First I would like to say I love my dad and hope he has a great day today with me and Mommy.  Now, check out what me and Mommy got Daddy for Father's Day...yesterday we went to Charlotte Motor Speedway and Dad got to do the "driving experience".  My Dad drove the blue 99 car and had a blast!!  I loved being down on the track and so close to all the cars...it is a bit loud out there though. 

DiDi is here!!

Today was an exciting day at my school...a day me, my teachers and my classmates have been preparing for for a while now.  We sang several songs, received diplomas and had a really great day!  I was very excited Nana was there with Mommy and Daddy to cheer me on and watch my special program.

KEEPING WITH THE BASEBALL THEME....

I have had such a great time playing t-ball and am sad to report next Saturday is our last spring game.  This past Saturday was super cool as Poppy & Gigi were in town and Poppy helped Daddy coach!!

Chattanooga Lookouts game!!

A couple weeks ago when I was in Tennessee Poppy & Gigi took me out to the ballgame!!  I love that the Chattanooga team and my Tega Cay team have the exact same shirts!!  We had snacks, bought some souvenirs  and just had a great time!  Thanks to Poppy for bringing his camera and sharing the pics with Mommy for the blog!!

Everybody on the Tega Cay Lookouts is having such a great time!!  My favorite thing to do is bat but I do like to catch the ball when other players hit...I am getting good as I learn to use 2 hands!!

Me and Mommy are learning about some really great places to spend our time this Summer!!  We had such a fun time at Windjammer park this past Friday and I cannot wait to go back!

Butterfly release 2012

I was so excited to finally release my butterflies!!  Unfortunately only 3 out of 5 turned out to be healthy but I had so much fun watching each stage.  I helped Mommy mix the sugar water to feed them and even help cut the fruit up once they were butterflies.  Flutter by Butterfly.....

Happy Birthday DiDi!!

This past weekend me and Mommy went to Tennessee for a quick visit and to celebrate DiDi turning 60!!  I had a quick visit with everyone and can't wait to go back to TN!!

we had alot of fun this week at baseball!!  Mommy had a bit more time to take pictures too which made her happy.  She did get a pretty good video of me hitting the ball(at me request)!!  This week the focus was throwing and catching...I was pretty good at remembering to use 2 hands and several people commented about me having a strong arm.

I am happy to share the news that tee-ball has started in Tega Cay...my team is the Lookouts!! Mommy was so excited about this connection to the Chattanooga Lookouts. I am so excited cause Daddy is my head coach. We have a great team and had a lot of fun Saturday...can't wait for next Saturday!!

Easter Sunday fun!!

Pre Easter fun!!

So, Saturday morning we started off with a great egg hunt here in Tega Cay...I got 9 eggs which was pretty good considering how many kids were there. I was super excited to see the Easter Bunny make an appearance considering all the work he had ahead of him. Later that day we colored our Easter Eggs which was sooo much fun...only broke one this year.

Myrtle Beach!!

Me, Mommy and Daddy just returned from a fun trip to Myrtle Beach!! We had a really cool room on the top floor overlooking the big ocean. The hotel had 2 hot tubs, 2 big swimming pools a lazy river pool and so much more. We had an awesome time playing mini golf and running on the beach too!!

So, Thursday night was my first real soccer game(they do not really keep score and it is all for fun). I am clearly on the blue team and we are the destroyers. Not to brag but I scored 3 out of 4 goals for my team(somehow Mommy did not get a single one on video?) We had a blast!!

A fun trip to Connecticut!!

So me and Mommy just returned from visiting our friends in CT. We were lucky enough to stay with our WONDERFUL friends...The Seymours. I have truly missed Charlotte so much. Our trip was awesome...we went to Mystic, walked around town and went to the aquarium...check out the whales.

We were also so excited to be there to celebrate Dylan and Beckett turning 2...party pics later in the week.

HOCKEY TIME!!

this past Friday night was super fun as I was in my first "real game" sort of...still no score keeping and only about having fun. Either way, it was super exciting and if you watch closely in the video I stole the puck from a guy!! I may be the only 4 year old out there but Mommy said you would never know it. She seemed a bit nervous honestly but said my drive and determination was awesome!!

I am so excited to try something new this Spring...the name of my team will be the Lookouts!! I am even more excited because Daddy will be the head coach of my team. We decided to get in a bit of practice as the season is quickly approaching.

A really fun playdate!!

So, me and Mommy met up with her friend Carrie(from high school) and her kids at the Sports Connection in Charlotte last Friday...it was SUPER fun!! Carrie has a 4 year old little boy name Liam and a little girl Caitlin that will be 3 next week.

This sports connection place has an arcade, bowling, all kinds of big jumpee things and so much more.

Spring Soccer started today!!

I am so excited to be playing soccer again. I was sad to miss Fall soccer when we moved from Connecticut but Mommy told me it would not be long until I could play here in Tega Cay...she was right!! I will play on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 for the next 8 weeks!!

GREEN BELT!!!

I am so excited to share with everyone that i earned my green belt in Tae Kwon Do!! For those that did not see the previous post of me counting in Korean, that was part of my "test" to get my green belt. Excited to take on the next challenge!!

What a fun weekend!!

This past weekend my Uncle Joseph, Nana and my cousin Katelyn all came to visit from Tennessee. We had a great time playing in my playroom, riding scooters and so many other fun things!! So happy to live this close to my family.

I have had so much fun with my singing monkey Nana sent me!! I do love the books too but this monkey has brought on my dance moves for sure.

The greatest show on Earth!!

This past Saturday we made our way into Charlotte for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. What a great show...I LOVE THE CIRCUS!!!!

64 degrees on February 3rd!!

We are loving this crazy warm weather in the middle of winter!! Yesterday I had several of the boys that live in my neighborhood over for some fun. My friends are Tyler, Landon and Daniel...they all loved the jump rocket and were super impressed at my collection of light sabers.

Happy 10th Birthday to Luey!!

So we had a little canine style party for our beloved Luey. I picked out the cake and Daddy picked up the "Frosty Paws" ice cream. I am so happy DiDi is here to celebrate with us too. Luey was most excited about his new heated blanket and I was most excited he & KoKo was willing to wear the party hats...LOL! A REALLY fun place to play!!

Mommy's new "mommy group" let her in on a few secrets about fun places to go so today we ventured out to the first one on the list...what a hit it was. This place is close by in Charlotte, NC and I feel sure we will go back. Me and Mommy played in the water from 11-3...man do I love having Fridays off from school.

My new hockey place...

So I was super excited to try out a new hockey program...I LOVED IT!! I will be playing on Monday nights from 6:30-7:30pm and I qualified as a "4 star". I had to show up yesterday and be evaluated(whatever that means). I got dressed and was tossed out in the rink with a bunch of guys and was told by Coach Kyle to "show him what I got". He was apparently thinking I would qualify as a "star 2 or 3" given my age but he said I was a "4 star"(out of 5) no doubt!! My first big practice is tonight but I enjoyed playing in the "pick-up" rink yesterday for almost 2 hours. Not sure if anyone else watches the Lego ninja show that just premiered last week but I LOVE IT!! By the way, my ninja name is "Zane"...not insane like Mommy says in the video below!

I love living closer to TN!!!

Living closer to Tennessee has so many benefits when it comes to seeing many friends and family more often. This past weekend is a perfect example of awesomeness!! Bevie and Dave came to our house...they live in Knoxville so they are even closer than everyone that lives in Chattanooga!! We had so much fun playing, showing off my new Christmas stuff and just hanging out. Check out the cool Lego Star Wars set AND a Star Wars lunchbox with sandwich cutters. I have had spaceship sandwiches for days!!!

back to some Christmas fun!!

I know, I know it is almost mid January but it is busy around here. Anyway, we had a wonderful time in Tennessee and much of my time was spent with my cousin Katelyn...SO MUCH FUN!!!!! On Thursday the 29th everyone gathered at Nana's house for dinner, gifts and alot of playing. I got to spend time with my cousins, my Uncle "Jovas"...Joseph, Mamaw, James, Nana and the list goes on. Man have I come a long way from when we first got here...my room went from pink to blue(thanks Mommy), I no longer sleep in a toddler bed(I will miss my race car bed), and I even have my own desk!! We picked up my new bookcase yesterday and now I just need my chair to sit at my desk. Mommy was okay with star wars sheets for the bottom bed but only my bed on top could be completely decked out in Star Wars...that makes my bed the coolest on the top!!

Finally...Christmas in TN(part 1)

a few days after Christmas we made our short trip from SC to TN to see all the family. 1st we celebrated with Poppy, Gigi, my Aunt Carrie and Uncle Joey as well as all my cousins...Jordan, Cara, Devin, Logan, and Bailey. We had so much fun!! I loved playing with Cara's pink Barbie car and she was up for playing a little game of Light saber with me. Now that we live closer I hope to see everyone alot more!!
