trust me, this is his birthday smile...NOT! He is a bit grouchy in his old age.:)

Luey turned 8 this weekend so we had a little celebration in his honor. I am pretty sure his favorite part of the festivities is me singing!!!

A fun time with Charlotte

Somehow we missed this post??? Char-Char came over the week of Christmas and we had a great time. We played with my toys, enjoyed some snacks and lunch and even bowled a frame or two. Please excuse the lighting on the videos.:)

Art Class...

Mommy had high hopes for this to be a new weekly activity but HA!!!! No worries, she knew in her heart of hearts I am so not into the arts, a focused task etc... I took a trial class at All About Art and was pretty into it for about 20 of the 50 minutes. The teacher seemed pretty confused when I asked her to "run circles round table". That is what I call fun, not sitting down, glue, paint and focusing on one thing for very long. Mommy says we may revisit this at a later date???

Portia turns 3...

...and I was lucky enough to get to celebrate with her! Portia's Mommy & Daddy had her a great party at Bounce U, as you can see many friends and family turned out for the event. I was very excited to see my good friend Olivia, her baby brother Nate,and their Mommy & Daddy too, what a surprise!! As always I was happy to see the cake appear, YUMMY!!! Happy Birthday Princess P!!!!

"Fun Bowl"

Check out the fun we had earlier today. We went to the Sports Complex in Shelton for a little family fun. Now keep in mind I have never been bowling and am well aware my technique needs work. Mommy said practice makes perfect and we will definitely go again.

Wow, can you believe I am 2 1/2 today??? Mommy certainly seems shocked by the news.:) Anyway, she thought it might be nice for a bit of an update on the development, skills, behavior front so here goes. FINE & GROSS MOTOR SKILLS: I can jump, stand on one foot alone, jump off steps, kick a ball, throw a ball(pretty good I might add) and even string beads. LANGUAGE & SPEECH SKILLS: I understand concepts like big & small/ slow & fast, refers to self using pronouns and I also use past tense words, I use negation very well. My language has certainly taken off in the last 4 months. I speak pretty clear and have endings on my words now. I speak 3-5 word sentences pretty much all the time. I am always happy to tell you my first name and my age if you ask. I will consistently sing every word of "you are my sunshine" and twinkle, twinkle little star" but ONLY with Mommy??? PLAY & COGNITIVE SKILLS: I love to pretend to talk on the phone as well as make lists along side Mommy. I recognize heart, star, circle, oval, square, moon(crescent) and triangle consistently, as well as the primary colors. I consistently count to 10 ALWAYS leaving out 4 and 7. Mommy can't figure that one out.:) AAAAAH BEHAVIOR...WHERE TO BEGIN: No really, Mommy says I am really super good but let's face it every 2 1/2 year old is going to have some challenging moments. For the most part I am pretty cooperative, still a very good sharer and get along with any and everybody. I am NOT easily redirected, do not think you will pull a fast one on me.:) I can be demanding at times...Mommy says she counts to 10 and reminds herself this is normal healthy development for my age. I shift back and forth endlessly at times "yes-no", "I do-I don't". I am very high-energy ( i hear this alot) but in the morning Mommy says I am slow as molasses. I do not like to be "hurried along" like with breakfast before school, getting my shoes on etc. Another term I hear alot is "class clown"...I must admit, I do love to smile and laugh as well as make other laugh.:) I am not sure these videos show "normal" 2 1/2 year old development but they certainly show off my personality!!!

last bit of the Christmas festivities...

Has anyone else taken notice of just how many wonderful people are in my life. We had visitors before Christmas and could barely sit down while in Tennessee...I'm not complaining, the more people lovin' on me the better!!! Let me just give you an idea of who these people are, Mommy kinda rolled alot into this last Christmas post. The 2 pics at the end are my sweet KoKo of course lounging in front of the tree but the guy before her is me with Sean, he came to our house for a visit a few days before we headed out...he played with me, read my bedtime stories and everything. Daddy graduated college(whatever that is) with him. You will also see Matt and Rachel, 2 of Mommy and Daddy's closest friends, Gigi who we all know and Mommy's BFF Beverly, she was a big hugger...I loved her and I am still asking to go to "beyerley's" house for kisses.:) There is also a picture of me with my Great Aunt Helen holding me...she was alot of fun too.

Christmas at Nana's house

So sorry for the delay in wrapping up these Christmas posts but we have been busy and then I have been under the weather a bit. Anyway, we had a big time at Nana's house with lots of family. I had an absolute blast playing with Katelyn, Iona and Caiden. I loved all the attention from my cousins, Aunts, Uncles and grandparents!! PS, I must bring attention to the last 2 pics, Nana made me those pajamas and they have "ASHANTIS" all over them...I was so excited!!!

We had alot of fun with Didi and Grandaddy! We had snack, played with Emma & Archie(their little yorkies) and opened lots of gifts. I must bring recognition to one gift that arrived at my house a couple days before christmas, a "Smart Cycle"...I call it "mines ashanti". For those confused by the word "ashanti" that somehow translates to motorcycle???

Chattanooga Choo-choo...

for those unfamiliar the Chattanooga Choo-Choo is a fantastic place for the entire family. Check out some of the awesome pictures of the model train museum, what a cool set up. Me and my cousin Katelyn had a big time together but I am pretty sure everyone enjoyed themselves. Me, Katelyn, Poppy, Gigi, Nana, Mommy and Daddy spent the morning there and then enjoyed lunch in the heart of downtown Chattanooga.

A big Tennessee Christmas

What a busy, fun time I have been having. We left out on the 26th and just returned yesterday. I had such a fantastic time visiting with soooo many special people. I played hard, snacked alot, opened lots of "prizes" and got lots of attention. Mommy has decided to divide up the posts a bit as she took over 300 pics while we were gone.:) We are starting with a huge Christmas celebration that included Poppy, Gigi, Aunt Carrie, Uncle Joey, Uncle Bill & Aunt Jennifer and many cousins: Bailey, Cara, Jordan, Logan and Devin. Mommy & Daddy were there too of course. Check out my "bisissle", Cara got one too and everybody enjoyed a turn.
