Swim team 2016 started off with a bang!

Yesterday we had our first meet and I won my freestyle heat(25M) swimming it in 19.03 seconds, I won my Butterfly heat and though I am not sure of my time yet I do know I shaved 4 seconds off my last best time of last season and even though I did not touch the wall first I will in the end be the winner of my breaststroke heat as the boy that won will be DQ'd for not swimming a legal breaststroke.....all in all not a bad start!  I was also chosen as an honor swimmer so I got to start the meet off by swimming the length of the pool with an American Flag while the National Anthem played  In order to be chosen as an honor swimmer you must show good sportsmanship, good attitude, respect for coaches and team mates always be present and on time to practice and be a leader....what an honor indeed!

Carolina Cup 2016

Saturday was a super fun day of rugby....championships!  We got knocked out in the second round of play but my team played great and we all had fun!  I played in 3 matches, scored 5 times and had some great tackles! 

soooo, I have decided to get back out on the soccer field!

Wednesday I tried out for a local "club/academy" soccer team called Charlotte United.  This is a step up from rec soccer and we will play August-April with many tournaments as well and travel.  I am pretty excited and Mom is super excited I am back on the soccer field.  I was offered a spot on the team "on the spot" if you will, which is pretty cool!  More info to follow....

I AM A BLACK BELT IN TAE KWON DO!

This past weekend we traveled to High Point, NC for Black Belt Testing and it was a big success!  Thank you to all my Grandparents who traveled from Tennessee to support/cheer for me.  I had a really great time and was so happy to not only receive my Black Belt but cheer my fellow classmates on....what an awesome thing!  Tiger Kim's has been an amazing journey and now I just need to decide if I take a break or press on for my 2nd degree Black Belt.  Here are a few pics and video will be coming soon!

We had 2 matches this past Saturday....we won them both!  I scored, scrummed and tackled like a boss! 

Rugby games started with a bang!

This past weekend I played my first rugby games....we traveled to Fayettville, NC(3 hour drive) and played all day!  I loved it and had a great day!  I got to call plays, scrum and even scored!

Tae Kwon Do is pretty much taking up all my free time with Black Belt testing day April 23rd but we did escape for a day during Spring Break.  Check out Cooper at the beach for the 1st time!!  The water was freezing but the 2 of us are tough!
