I AM A BLACK BELT IN TAE KWON DO!

This past weekend we traveled to High Point, NC for Black Belt Testing and it was a big success!  Thank you to all my Grandparents who traveled from Tennessee to support/cheer for me.  I had a really great time and was so happy to not only receive my Black Belt but cheer my fellow classmates on....what an awesome thing!  Tiger Kim's has been an amazing journey and now I just need to decide if I take a break or press on for my 2nd degree Black Belt.  Here are a few pics and video will be coming soon!

We had 2 matches this past Saturday....we won them both!  I scored, scrummed and tackled like a boss! 

Rugby games started with a bang!

This past weekend I played my first rugby games....we traveled to Fayettville, NC(3 hour drive) and played all day!  I loved it and had a great day!  I got to call plays, scrum and even scored!

Tae Kwon Do is pretty much taking up all my free time with Black Belt testing day April 23rd but we did escape for a day during Spring Break.  Check out Cooper at the beach for the 1st time!!  The water was freezing but the 2 of us are tough!

a really, really big night!

So last night I passed the biggest test ever in Tae Kwon Do....it is a pass or fail!!  If you make more than 3 mistakes period you FAIL!  This testing ceremony is called POOM TEST and it is the final big piece of the puzzle that allows you to go onto the BLACK BELT TESTING.  This is truly the first time I was telling my Mom and Dad I was so nervous...some people did not pass and it was sad to see.  The Poom test is where you have to do all 8 forms that you have learned over the past 3-4 years as well as do the lower and upper body movements you just learned as well as a 16 step form we just learned.  I PASSED and was called out by Master Todd as this being possibly my best performance in a testing ceremony yet...woohoo!  Next stop BLACK BELT April 23rd in High Point, NC!
