Our team is getting it together!!

It always takes a bit of time to get a team to play to position but we are rocking it now!  

First year round swim meet!!

The meet is complete and the results of hard work are in.....this was so much fun!  I am swimming for Team Charlotte which is a competitive swim club.  We practice 3 times a week for 1 hour and attend 1-2 meets a month with travel at times as far as Knoxville, TN(January 2017).  I just completed my first meet this weekend at Clemson and it was awesome!  I was in 4 events each day...day 1 I was in the 50Yard free, fly, back and breast then on day 2 I was in the same stroke events but swam 100 Yards in each.  I got 3 "B" times this weekend which are times required to later make a cut for state championship meets!!

 

Soccer games for Team Rush are finally happening!!

Last wee we had 2 games and man was it HOT!  I played the entire game in both games and as we are still working on positions I played a little of everything but mostly right mid and striker.

Academy soccer is up next!

I started skills and team practice about 3 weeks ago for my new soccer team....Carolina Rush!  I am very excited to take soccer to the next level from rec league.  I will be number 3....1st games are coming up September 10th!  Here are a few practice shots!  So far I have been playing striker which is the same as forward or attacker.  

Swim season wrapped up with a bang!

I had the best swim Summer ever....I remained undefeated in butterfly for the entire league and brought home the GOLD at the championship meet!!  I actually brought home 2 gold and 1 bronze....woohoo!  I was named MVP for the 3rd season in a row, set 2 team/pool records and was recognized an an Honor Swimmer which is really a big deal.  I will begin a new swim chapter as I tried out and made a year round swim team....I will begin swimming for Team Charlotte.  Looking forward to my 1st practice next week!

waaaaaay behind!

So, I have missed most of the Summer posts that could/should have happened but man has it been busy!  I will start back at swim team as it was an awesome Summer for the Palisades Piranhas swim team!!

Swim team 2016 started off with a bang!

Yesterday we had our first meet and I won my freestyle heat(25M) swimming it in 19.03 seconds, I won my Butterfly heat and though I am not sure of my time yet I do know I shaved 4 seconds off my last best time of last season and even though I did not touch the wall first I will in the end be the winner of my breaststroke heat as the boy that won will be DQ'd for not swimming a legal breaststroke.....all in all not a bad start!  I was also chosen as an honor swimmer so I got to start the meet off by swimming the length of the pool with an American Flag while the National Anthem played  In order to be chosen as an honor swimmer you must show good sportsmanship, good attitude, respect for coaches and team mates always be present and on time to practice and be a leader....what an honor indeed!
